We begin at The White Lion, then slip onward to places such as the lively Market, the proud Clock Tower, and, in time, the great Cathedral, where the mood grows quieter and more reverent. There is history here in every brick and doorway, and more than a few stories tucked just out of sight.
As you approach each landmark, I will begin speaking automatically, though you can tap play yourself if the audio does not start. If you feel turned around at any point, simply open the map in the app. At every stop, you may ask me questions in the chat section below.
For the Cathedral or any sensitive place, do dress with a little care. And as you walk through St Albans in the U-K, do mind traffic, uneven pavements, cyclists, and the usual bustle around roads and crossings.
If you have not already, make your way to the first stop, The White Lion, and let us begin.
