Well, here we are. Stop number fifteen. Standing in the striking presence of the Cathédrale Saint-Bénigne. Take a deep breath... your feet have certainly earned it today. We have covered a lot of ground together, have we not?
Think back to where we started. From the grand steps of the Opéra de Dijon, winding our way past the crooked timber frames of the Millière House, right into the heavy, royal footsteps at the Palace of the Dukes. We stepped out of the bustling Central Markets and found quiet moments in the Chapelle des Carmélites. We have walked through hundreds of years of history... just by putting one foot in front of the other.
You know, my favorite thing about Dijon is that it refuses to act like a museum. Sure, we have seen our fair share of beautiful museums today. But the real magic is that the city just lives its life right on top of its history. People still meet up in the Place de la Libération to talk, laugh, and probably complain about the price of a good wine... exactly like the Dukes of Burgundy used to do.
It has been a genuine privilege to walk these streets with you. To point out the gargoyles, the quiet courtyards, and the grand facades. I really hope this city has gotten under your skin just a little bit... that you are leaving with a head full of stories, a heart full of inspiration, and maybe a bag full of mustard.
This is Adam, signing off. Do not let the tour ending stop you from wandering. Find a crooked little street we did not walk down. Find a quiet corner. Just watch the city be alive. Until our next adventure together... take care out there.
