From a pioneer mother's fierce defense to a community that built its own skyline, Vancouver is a city forged by its people. What a journey we just took together! You can practically smell the rich roasted coffee drifting down these historic brick streets and hear the deep resonant toll of the bells echoing across the gathering spaces. We walked right through the soul of the Northwest. I will always love the irony here. This entire place is named after a grand British captain who never even saw this riverbank, yet the true foundation was laid by Esther Short, a fiercely determined woman defending her family's land with her bare hands and pure willpower! That grassroots grit is cemented into the ornate building facades and the cozy neighborhood homes we wandered past. Generation after generation decided this ground was worth fighting for, piecing together a vibrant community against every conceivable odd. It has been an absolute joy sharing this beautiful resilience with you. Thank you for walking through the echoes and legends of Vancouver.
