Welcome to Denver!

Hello and welcome to your Denver Audio Tour: Mile High Mysteries & Monuments! My name’s Andy, your digital tour guide-and yes, I do know the best places to find coffee and mountain views, though sadly, I can’t carry your backpack.

Are you ready for an adventure through downtown Denver? Today, we're going to stroll along the famous 16th Street Mall, gaze up at the dazzling Denver Art Museum, and pass haunting tales like the Father's Day Bank Massacre. We'll finish our journey surrounded by artistry at the breathtaking Cathedral Basilica. There's something fascinating at every turn-stories of gold, innovation, wild performances, and a little bit of mystery. Don’t worry, I’ll only sing opera *outside* Boettcher Concert Hall, not inside!

You don’t need a magic map-okay, maybe the app map will do the trick. If the audio doesn’t start up by itself when you get close to a stop, just tap “play” for my next quip or story. And if you’re ever unsure where you are (or if this thin mile high air gets you turned around), the app’s map will guide you right back on track.

Got a burning question as you gaze at a landmark? Type away in the chat! I’ll be right here, ready to answer everything you throw my way-except maybe your WiFi password.

Most of our tour will have you soaking up sunshine, people-watching, and city sounds. But when we get to a place of worship like the Cathedral Basilica, it’s kind to dress with some respect-no pirate hats or rollerblades inside! For the rest of the journey, wear comfy shoes, bring water, and keep an eye out at crosswalks-Denver drivers love green lights, but they’re not auditioning for "Fast and Furious."

Alright, ready to start? If you haven’t already, make your way to our first stop: the 16th Street Mall. Take in the fresh Rocky Mountain air, and let’s get this adventure rolling. Denver’s waiting for us!

This was a solid way to get to know Brighton without feeling like a tourist. The narration had depth and context, but didn't overdo it.
