For the little ones, there's a large play area where they can run around and let their imaginations soar. And if plants are more your thing, you'll be pleased to know that there's a botanical garden covering 9 acres. It's like a mini paradise right here in the park.
Throughout the year, you can always find something exciting happening in Royal Victoria Park. They host carnival fairs, open-air concerts, and all sorts of events. Talk about keeping the park hopping!
We can't forget to mention the grand Victoria Column located near the east entrance of the park. It's a stunning obelisk that was erected to celebrate Princess Victoria's coming-of-age. It's surrounded by a low balustraded wall, giving it an extra touch of elegance.
And if you're a fan of festivals and fun, you're in luck. Royal Victoria Park is known for hosting a variety of events. From Vintage FunFair to Bath Race for Life, there's always something happening here that'll bring a smile to your face.
Now, as we make our way through the park, you'll notice the Botanical Gardens. They're home to one of the finest collections of plants on limestone in the West Country. And guess what? The replica of a Roman Temple in these gardens was actually used at the British Empire Exhibition at Wembley in 1924. So you're walking through a bit of history here.
