Well... here we are. This is it. The end of the line.
We have covered some serious ground today... haven't we?
Think about where we started. Back at the Deloitte Centre... surrounded by all that shiny glass and serious business. We walked the spine of the city... stood under the giant needle of the Sky Tower... and wandered right through the creative heart of the Aotea Quarter.
It is quite a shift... ending up here on K Road.
You know... people usually just see the traffic or the shops. But today... we walked over a buried river. We saw where the city gathers to protest and to celebrate. We saw the old bones of the place... like this theatre right here.
That is the thing about Auckland.
It tries to look brand new... but the history is always there... just waiting for you to notice it.
I hope you enjoyed the walk. It is nice to just... slow down and actually look at things for a change. instead of just rushing past them.
Thanks for letting me tag along. I really enjoyed the company.
I will leave you to it now. This neighborhood has plenty more to show you if you keep walking. Or... just find a good spot to sit and watch the world go by.
Take care of yourself.
