And here we are... at the end of our walk through Arnhem. What first seemed like handsome facades and lively squares has opened into something more tender: a city that has had to shape itself again and again. In the murmur of cafés, the hush around old brick, the faint bell tones drifting from church towers, you’ve met places that refused to be only one thing.
Markets became shelter. Sanctuaries changed form, yet kept carrying prayer and memory in their walls. Streets marked by the Battle of Arnhem learned, step by step, how to welcome life back in.
So as you wander on, look once more at the stones, the windows, the corners where music, worship, trade, and loss have all left their trace... They may look unchanged, but now you know how many earlier lives are still standing inside them.
Thank you for walking with me through Arnhem.
