Across thirteen stops, we shall wander through Bastia’s old soul. We will brush past the grand openness of Place Saint-Nicolas, pause by the twin towers of Saint-Jean-Baptiste, and climb into the older, quieter world around the Governors’ Palace, where the city seems to guard its secrets rather well.
As you approach each landmark, I will begin speaking automatically, though you may tap play yourself if the audio does not start. If you feel turned around at any point, simply open the map in the app. At every stop, you can ask me questions in the chat below, and I shall do my best to answer.
For churches and other sensitive places, do dress respectfully. As you walk, mind uneven paving, steps, passing scooters, and traffic at crossings, and keep an eye on your belongings in busy areas.
If you have not already, make your way to the first stop on the map, and let us begin.
