As you wander, I’ll pop in and start chatting about each landmark as you arrive. If my dulcet digital tones don’t kick in automatically, just hit play-don’t be shy! And if you ever find yourself wondering, “Which way did Andy say to go again?” just pull up the handy map in the app. Lost is only a state of mind (and maybe a funky GPS signal).
Quincy is packed with grand architecture, leafy streets, and a little mystery in every brick and cornice. You’ll walk along river breezes at the Villa Kathrine, hear tales of city pioneers, and peek into the lives of Quincy’s most interesting characters. There’s the Oakley-Lindsay Center’s modern buzz, the stately Morgan-Wells House with its stories hiding in the woodwork, and-oh, you’ll just have to see the John Wood Mansion at the end!
At each stop, if you find yourself itching to know more-“Andy, what’s that odd sculpture out front?”-type your questions in the chat below. I’m always here for your curiosity.
A friendly heads-up: When we visit places like St. John’s Parish, dressing modestly is a good call. And while Quincy’s a warm and welcoming town, do remember to cross streets safely, watch for uneven sidewalks, and keep hydrated-your shoes and your body will thank you!
If you’re not already standing in view of our first stop, the quirky and enchanting Villa Kathrine, make your way there now. The adventure starts soon, and you don’t want to miss this opening scene.
Ready? Let’s hit the bricks and find out just how much sparkle there is in the Gem City!
