The landmarks in every guidebook — and the tours that tell you what guidebooks don't.
Ogden is where American history turned on a railroad spike. On May 10, 1869, the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroads met at Promontory Summit, 35 miles to the northwest, but it was Ogden that became the great junction city: the point where passengers and freight transferred between the two lines and from which goods flowed north and south. The Union Station on 25th Street, completed in 1924 in Spanish Colonial Revival style, is still one of the grandest depots in the West, now housing three museums under one roof.
The Wasatch Mountains rise abruptly to the east of the city, their peaks above 9,000 feet visible from every downtown street.
Weber Canyon cuts a dramatic passage through them, and the Ogden River runs down from the mountains through the city to the marshes at the edge of the Great Salt Lake. The Historic 25th Street corridor, once a notorious red-light and saloon district serving railroad workers, has been rehabilitated into Ogden's main street of restaurants and galleries without entirely losing its rough-edged character. The nearby ski resorts at Snowbasin and Powder Mountain offer some of the least crowded skiing in Utah.

This tour was such a great way to see the city. The stories were interesting without feeling too scripted, and I loved being able to explore at my own pace.
This was a solid way to get to know Brighton without feeling like a tourist. The narration had depth and context, but didn't overdo it.
Started this tour with a croissant in one hand and zero expectations. The app just vibes with you, no pressure, just you, your headphones, and some cool stories.
