Ladies and Gentlemen, adventurers and history buffs, that wraps up our delightful journey through the heart of Cedar Rapids! I must say, you've been an absolutely fantastic companion. We've walked in the footsteps of judges at the United States District Court, basked in the spotlight at the Paramount Theatre, and reveled in the marvelous history of well, just about everything.
From the architectural gem of the Linn County Courthouse to the oasis that is Mays Island-who knew an island could exist in the middle of a city, right? We honored our heroes at the Veterans Memorial Building, delved into Freemason mysteries at the Iowa Masonic Library and Museum, and stood in awe at the First Universalist Church.
Our creative spirits soared at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art. We felt the warmth and hospitality at Bethel AME Church before finally reaching the stalwart walls of Mercy Medical Center.
I hope the stories tickled your curiosity and the sights were as amazing for you as my jokes were-hey, a guide has to believe in his repertoire, right?
Whether you're a Cedar Rapids native or just passing through, I hope this tour added a skip to your step and a shimmer to your smile. Remember, history isn't just in books-it's all around us, waiting to be discovered.
Until next time, keep exploring, stay curious, and always take the scenic route. This is Andy, signing off. Thank you!
