As we wander among the brick and stone, you might feel a cool breeze (or maybe that’s Butte just giving you a little shiver of excitement). The mighty mountains line the horizon, the air is crisp, and each block has a story itching to be told. Soak it in-this isn’t your ordinary tour.
Here’s how it works: as you stroll up to each landmark, I’ll start spinning tales in your ear automatically. If for some reason I get shy and go quiet, just tap the play button and I’ll chime right in. Feeling lost? No shame! Check the app’s map and you’ll find your way. And if something at a stop piques your curiosity, ask away in the chat section below-this tour is a conversation, not a monologue.
Heads-up: Our first stop is St. John’s Episcopal Church-a beautiful and historic spot. Out of respect for the church and its community, maybe skip the flip-flops and shorts for just this one.
A couple of last things to keep you happy and healthy: sidewalks can get uneven, so watch your step (Butte’s streets date back to the Wild West, and so do some of its potholes). The weather turns quicker than a poker hand on Main Street, so bring a light jacket or rain gear, just in case. And remember, you’re at a higher elevation here, so don’t overdo it-catch your breath and sip a bit of water as you go.
Haven’t started walking yet? Head to our first stop, St. John’s Episcopal Church, and let’s kick off this adventure together. Ready? Let’s mine some memories!
