Bellingham
Bellingham, Washington, is a city steeped in history, originally settled by the Lummi and Nooksack tribes. Its name derives from Bellingham Bay, which was named by Captain George Vancouver in 1792 in honor of the man he knew as Admiral Sir William Bellingham. The bay's rich resources attracted settlers, leading to the establishment of a trading post in the mid-1800s.
