Welcome to Eton, Slough!

Hello adventurer, and welcome to “Regal Treasures: The Windsor and Eton Heritage Journey!” I’m Andy, your digital tour guide-think of me as your friendly, invisible companion who never gets tired, lost, or hungry (though I do love a good story).

As we wander through the cobbled streets and grand avenues of Eton and Windsor, you’ll feel the echoes of royalty, the hush of ancient chapels, and maybe even the flutter of history’s pages turning. Expect to breathe in the crisp, leafy air from Home Park, hear the distant chimes from St George’s Chapel, and enjoy people-watching with views of Windsor Castle standing so stately above us. No need for a crown-just your curiosity!

Here’s how it works: As you approach each stop, your phone will try to play my commentary automatically. Technology can be as stubborn as a royal corgi, though, so if nothing happens, go ahead and tap the play button yourself. If you miss a turn or wonder which way the royals walked, open the app’s map-your trusty treasure map!

Got questions at any stop? Ask away in the chat right below. I’ll be ready with answers, insights, and perhaps a joke or two (though I’m not as funny as one of the Queen’s jesters).

A quick word on respectful dress: St George’s Chapel is a sacred space. If you plan to pop inside, please dress modestly-cover shoulders and avoid short shorts. The rest of the tour is much more casual, though I’d suggest comfy shoes (unless you borrowed glass slippers from Cinderella).

As you stroll around Eton and Slough, watch out for bicycles, busy students, and the classic British weather-an umbrella can be your best friend! Also, mind the cobblestones-trust me, even kings have tripped on those.

Ready to begin? If you haven’t already, make your way over to our first stop: St George’s School, right by the impressive Windsor Castle. Let’s step into centuries of secrets and stories together. The journey begins-royal surprises await!

format_quote This tour was such a great way to see the city. The stories were interesting without feeling too scripted, and I loved being able to explore at my own pace.

format_quote This was a solid way to get to know Brighton without feeling like a tourist. The narration had depth and context, but didn't overdo it.
