Over the next 15 stops, you’ll uncover everything from Hull’s grand boats and bustling docks to stunning historic buildings and winding cobbled streets. Feel the salt in the air? Or maybe you just stepped in a puddle-either way, you’re about to dive deep into Hull’s maritime story. We’ll see famous landmarks like Hull City Hall, take an art break at Ferens Art Gallery, and finish with a splash at The Deep aquarium. Along the way, there’ll be stories, secrets, the occasional splash of sea spray... and maybe one or two of my terribly funny jokes.
You don’t need a compass-just follow your app! As you stroll toward each landmark, my voice should pop up automatically with the next chapter of our adventure. If I get shy and don’t say anything, just hit “play” on the stop you’ve reached. And if the medieval streets start playing tricks on your sense of direction, open the map anytime.
If you’re curious about a building, a statue, or even where to find the best chips, just ask away in the chat section below each stop. It’s your tour, your way.
A couple of quick tips: At Hull Minster, our city’s beautiful old church, please keep things respectful-no need to arrive in your Sunday best, but maybe leave the Viking helmet outside. In the Old Town, watch your step on those uneven pavements (the streets here have character and that sometimes means cobbles). And when crossing roads, always mind the local taxis-Hull cabbies are friendly but not psychic!
If you’re not already there, head over to Hull City Hall-our grand starting line. The adventure (and fun) begins there! Let’s get walking and see what wonders Hull has in store for us today.
