Welcome to Lausanne!

headphones 02:02

Hello and welcome to Lausanne Audio Tour: Champions, Culture, and Lakeside Legends! My name is Andy, your digital tour guide and personal companion for the day. Don’t worry-I don’t walk too fast, and I never take snack breaks (though I do know where the best chocolate shops are in town).

We’re about to explore the beautiful city of Lausanne, where the lakes shine like glass, the mountains peek over every rooftop, and every corner feels like a postcard waiting to happen. There are ten stops on our adventure-ten chances for you to dive into stories, admire art, chase a little Olympic spirit, and enjoy more than a few surprises.

Imagine standing at the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts, as sunlight streams through the glass and paints the plaza in color. Later, you might stroll beside the sparkling Lake Geneva to the Bellerive swimming pool-will you be brave enough to dip a finger (or a toe) in? And of course, we’ll find ourselves at the home of all things Olympic, where legends are born and celebrated.

Here’s how the magic works: As you approach a landmark, I’ll pop up with stories, secrets, and sometimes a joke or two (so groaners beware). If the audio doesn’t start on its own, just click play. Lost your way? No stress-the map in the app will show you exactly where you are. And if curiosity strikes, just ask me anything about the place you’re visiting using the chat below.

You don’t need to worry about dress codes today-no religious or sensitive locations on this tour, so comfort is key. Lausanne’s sidewalks can be steep and sometimes slippery; sturdy shoes and a bottle of water will be your best friends. Watch out when crossing roads-local drivers are polite, but let’s not test their brakes.

Ready for a day of stories and lakeside legends? If you haven’t already, make your way to our first stop-the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts-and let’s kick off our journey together. I’ll meet you there!

format_quote This tour was such a great way to see the city. The stories were interesting without feeling too scripted, and I loved being able to explore at my own pace.

format_quote This was a solid way to get to know Brighton without feeling like a tourist. The narration had depth and context, but didn't overdo it.
