The palace was ordered by Don Antonio Agustín, whose son was a famous archbishop and expert in church law. The building was so grand, it caught the eye (and the fancy) of the Counts of Fuenclara, who moved in next and made the palace their own.

The inside has changed a lot, thanks to renovations and new residents.
