Picture this: Your footsteps echo in Liberty Square, surrounded by grand old buildings and the whispers of history. Soon, you’ll admire the mighty Porto Cathedral, marvel at tales of mysterious towers, and soak in the river breeze at lively Ribeira Square. Maybe, just maybe, you’ll discover why locals believe Porto has magic in its walls-and in its desserts. If you’re lucky, I’ll tell you all about it. Spoiler: It involves custard.
Here’s how our adventure works: As you approach each stop, I’ll start talking to you automatically. If you sneak up ninja-style and nothing happens, just tap play for a manual start. Feeling a bit lost? No worries-just take a peek at the map in the app and you’ll be back on track faster than you can say “pastel de nata.”
Whenever we get to a religious site-like the grand Porto Cathedral or the lovely Carmo Church-please dress respectfully. Shoulders covered, hats off, and, of course, smiles are always welcome.
Be Porto-smart: Watch those charming but sneaky cobblestones (they love loose shoelaces), stay clear from busy roads, mind your belongings, and let’s be good guests-hello to street musicians, please and thank you to locals.
If you haven’t already, head over to our first stop, the iconic Liberty Square, and let’s dive straight into Porto’s magic. And remember: If you want to know more at any stop, just ask me in the chat below. I’m always listening-virtually speaking.
Ready for a stroll back in time and taste? Let’s go!
