Welcome to Vilnius!

Hello explorer and welcome to “Vilnius Audio Tour: Hidden Stories from Castles to Cathedrals!” I’m Andy, your virtual tour buddy, and you guessed it-my favorite sightseeing technique is ‘Andy-capping’ every story with a fun fact or two. (Get it? Capping? Andy? Okay, I’ll work on my jokes as we go.)

Before we set off, take a deep breath and look around-hear the echoes of centuries in the air? The cobblestones under your shoes have seen more secrets, parades, and probably spilled coffee than you could imagine. Get ready to wander into medieval alleys, gaze up at ancient towers, and maybe find out which palace had the best royal gossip.

Here’s how it works: as you stroll up to each landmark, I’ll pop in (not literally, don’t worry) and start telling you what’s what. If new stories don’t start automatically, just tap play-sometimes technology likes to nap. If you ever think, “Am I lost?”-just check the map in your app! I promise not to judge, my sense of direction is usually only good in a straight line anyway.

There are 12 stops, from mysterious ghettos to majestic cathedrals and castles that look like they've jumped straight out of a fairy tale. At each spot, you can ask me anything in the chat below-history, legends, or even where to find the best local snack nearby (hint: I know a few).

One quick note: Some stops, like churches or synagogues, are sensitive or religious sites. It’s a good idea to dress respectfully-shoulders covered, no beachwear (unless you think Lithuanian nuns are trend-setting with flip flops).

And a couple more tips before we begin: Watch your step on those old cobblestones-they love to test your balance. Keep your belongings snug and close, and don’t forget to pause and soak up the city with all your senses. The bells, the fresh bread from a corner bakery, the distant hum of street musicians-it’s all part of the Vilnius magic.

Alright, if you haven’t already, make your way to our very first stop: The Vilna Ghetto. When you’re there, let me know-or just wait for me to start the show. Let’s discover the hidden stories of Vilnius together-scandals, legends, and secret passageways await! Are you ready? Let’s roll!

format_quote This was a solid way to get to know Brighton without feeling like a tourist. The narration had depth and context, but didn't overdo it.
