Imagine standing in the heart of a city where myths were born, gods once walked, and heroes set out on epic quests. That’s Thebes, a place where every stone has a story (and, honestly, some might even gossip a little if you listen closely). All you have to do is walk, look, and listen-and let me do the talking.
Here’s how it works: as you get close to each stop, I’ll pop in to start telling you about it. If I’m feeling shy and don’t start automatically, just hit the play button. If the city’s mysteries twist your path, check the app’s map-it’ll help you find your way faster than Theseus with a ball of string. And any questions you have? Drop them into the chat below at any point and I’ll do my best to answer-even if it’s “how did people back then deal with sunburn?”
Most places today are open and relaxed, but remember, don’t climb on ancient walls (the old gods might not be fans), watch your step on uneven streets, and carry some water-the Greek sun loves to keep things warm. And hey, comfortable shoes are highly recommended unless you want to pretend you’re re-enacting a really long ancient tragedy.
At each stop, I’ll bring the stones, statues, and stories to life-starting with the Archaeological Museum of Thebes. If you’re not there yet, make your way over; our journey into legend is about to begin. Let’s see how much of Thebes’ magic we can uncover together!
