As you stroll through narrow streets and past stone walls, you'll hear about figures like Karl Marx, discover the mythical ruins of Augusta Treverorum, and at Porta Nigra, you'll pause beneath the massive, black gates that have watched over the city for centuries. Walking along Judengasse or past Dreikönigenhaus, you'll feel the atmosphere of bygone eras beneath your feet.
As you approach each stop, our story will begin. If playback doesn't start automatically, please feel free to click the 'play' button. If you get lost, I encourage you to use the map available in the app.
At each stop, you can also ask questions in the chat section below - I'll be happy to clarify any doubts.
Please remember that for stops related to sacred sites, such as Welschnonnenkirche, modest attire is recommended out of respect for places of worship. Also, during your walk, please be mindful of traffic - Trier is a lively city full of pedestrians, and some streets are narrow and uneven. It's advisable to wear comfortable shoes and pay special attention to bicycles and cars moving through the historic center.
If you're ready, I invite you to the first point on our route, in front of the Sparkasse Trier headquarters. There, we'll begin our journey through the centuries and stories of Trier.
