You won’t find regular passenger flights here; it’s a special kind of VIP experience, like hitching a ride with James Bond-minus the tuxedo and explosions. Andorra is surrounded by towering mountains, which is both a blessing-beautiful views, fresh air-and a bit of a curse if you’re hoping for standard runways. That’s why helicopters are the chariots of the sky around here.
If you really need a traditional airport, your best bet is in Spain, at Andorra-La Seu d'Urgell Airport, about 12 kilometers from the border. But that place has so few flights, you might see more birds than airplanes. In Andorra, flying is always a bit of an adventure-just don’t try to hail a helicopter like a taxi in the street, or you might get some very confused looks!
