Well here we are. We have made it to the foot of the Old Town Bridge Tower. It feels like a fitting place to come to a stop, right on the edge of the river, acting as a gateway between the old world we just walked through and the path leading up to the castle.
We have covered quite a bit of ground together today. It seems like a long time ago that we were standing in front of the Stone Bell, wondering who lived behind those thick walls. We have watched the skeleton ring his bell at the Astronomical Clock, we have tipped our hats to Jan Hus in the square, and we have navigated the winding streets that tie this city together.
It is funny how a place like Prague works. You walk a few blocks and you somehow travel through hundreds of years of history. It can be a little overwhelming, but that is part of the charm. It is a city that demands your attention, with all its spires and statues trying to tell you their side of the story.
I hope you enjoyed the walk. It has been a real pleasure being the voice in your ear and showing you around a place that holds so many secrets. I will leave you here now. You have the Charles Bridge stretching out in front of you, and I suspect you will want to take your time crossing it. There is no rush. Just take a moment to look around and soak it all in. You have earned it. Take care.
