Wow, what a day we’ve shared! Here we are, at the end of our journey together through Downtown Utica. It feels like we’ve not only walked the city’s streets, but also wandered through its stories, past laughter and hard work, tall hopes, and deep roots.
Think back to the start of our adventure-standing by the Doyle Hardware Building, imagining the clang and shuffle from years ago. Then, as we strolled from one spot to the next, each stop gave us more than just bricks and glass. They gave us a glimpse of dreams, of challenges met, and of small joys tucked around every corner.
Maybe you felt the pride of people who built these places or the warmth of a close-knit neighborhood. Maybe you even wondered what sort of mischief you would’ve gotten into at Matt Brewing Company (I’m not here to judge your daydreams about unlimited root beer or… not root beer). Each building and every block had its own memory, its own voice in the chorus that makes Utica special.
It’s hard not to feel a little nostalgic, ending our journey. But I hope what you carry now feels like more than memories-it’s inspiration. It reminds us how a city grows not just from stone and steel, but from everyone who calls it home and everyone who visits, even just for a walk and a laugh.
Thank you for joining me today. You made the tour unforgettable. I hope the next time you pass through these streets, it feels a little more like your own story, too.
Until our next ramble, walk proud and stay curious. Goodbye for now!
