Well... here we are, at the end of the line. Fourteen stops, a city’s worth of stories-told on foot and maybe a few good blisters to prove it.
You’ve walked through time, really-from the echo of old congress floors where decisions changed history... to hotel lobbies that likely saw more secrets than open rooms. We met trailblazers, survivors, dreamers, and even a few scoundrels-mostly retired, I assure you. Richmond keeps them on a short leash these days.
You witnessed the heart of a city that just refuses to stand still. Its stories aren’t always neat or easy, but- isn’t that what makes them stick? Maybe in a few years, you’ll walk some of these same streets again, and find them full of new memories, layered over the old.
If these landmarks could talk, I bet they’d say thanks for listening. But since they can’t, I’ll say it for them-thanks for making the journey. I hope Richmond gave you something to take with you... maybe a bit of inspiration, maybe just a good story.
And if anyone asks what you did today-tell them you wandered through history’s living room. Just don’t put your feet up on the furniture.
Safe travels, wherever your next stop takes you, and remember-every street has a story, if you’re only curious enough to listen. Take care out there.
