Well, look at you-standing right at the edge of adventure in the heart of Houston. I’m Adam, your guide for "Heritage Echoes: Houston’s Landmarks Unveiled." I’ll be that voice in your ear, keeping you company down city blocks, up sleek skyscrapers, and into slices of Texas history you might’ve walked past without noticing.
We’ll kick off at Sam Houston Park, where old-timey cabins rub elbows with the glass and steel of downtown-talk about architectural whiplash. Later, you’ll crane your neck at Heritage Plaza, where the top looks like a Mayan temple... because why not? Oh, and fair warning: we’ll eventually venture to a stunning co-cathedral. Maybe leave the beachwear for Galveston-something respectful will do nicely here.
Now, a couple tips before we set off. Houston’s got a sense of humor about its weather, so hydrate and wear your comfiest shoes. There’s a map waiting in the app if you wander off. And if my voice doesn’t pop up when you reach a landmark, just hit play. I’m not shy.
You can always tap the chat below to ask questions along the way.
Ready? If you haven’t already, start heading toward Sam Houston Park... and let’s see what stories downtown’s been hiding.
