Wow-what a journey we've had together! So many stories, and so many footsteps. I hope your legs still like you.
We started at the Old City Hall and Fire Station, where Holland’s history sounded its first alarms. Then we wandered the beautiful streets of the Historic District, soaked up the calm of Third Reformed Church, and maybe even smelled some good books outside Herrick Library. The Pillar Church’s pillars held up more than a roof - they held a community, right? We felt the heartbeat of the city in the Downtown Historic District, imagined cheers and celebrations at the Civic Center, and paid visits to homes that, long before us, sheltered laughter, dreams, and probably a few lost socks.
As we stand here at the Isaac Cappon House, I’m truly thankful you joined me. Holland is special not just because of its buildings, but because people still care about the stories they tell-people like you, exploring it one landmark at a time.
So as our tour ends, maybe you take along a smile, a good story, or a fresh curiosity about your own hometown. Thank you for spending this adventure with me. And if you ever get lost in your city, just pretend you’re on a tour-trust me, it makes everything more fun! See you next time, friend.
