Afternoons switch gears to a whirl of interdisciplinary collaboration-imagine a filmmaker working with a writer and a dancer, all prepping for a one-night-only show at the Whitaker Center. Getting in isn’t just a matter of filling out a form-prospective students have to audition and, if too many apply, there’s a little drama of a literal lottery draw! CASA draws its talented crew from all over Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry counties, and since 2010, aspiring writers got their own creative writing program. Who needs a boring old classroom when you’ve got downtown Harrisburg as your canvas?
