As you walk, expect brick facades, civic stonework, church towers, the hush of park paths, the rumble of buses, and the faint pull of coffee from nearby cafes. We’ll begin at Swindon Law Courts, drift past the Victorian Turkish Baths, pause by the Museum of Computing, and later reach places like Queens Park and the Old Town Hall... proof that Swindon has more character than it sometimes lets on.
I’ll start speaking as you approach each landmark, but if the audio does not begin, just tap play manually. If you feel lost, open the map in the app. At every stop, you can ask me questions in the chat below.
If we come to a church or another sensitive stop, dress and behave respectfully. While walking, mind traffic, cyclists, uneven pavements, and the small miracle of people staring at their phones while crossing roads. Try not to join that club.
If you have not already, head to the first stop... Swindon Law Courts... and let’s begin.
