Are you ready for a stroll where trams rattle by, history peeks around every corner, and the smell of street food waltzes through the air? Excellent! From the sleek shops at Centrale to the echoing halls of Croydon Palace and the colour and music of Surrey Street Market, we’ve got a treat for every sense-and probably a few surprises too. Fair warning: I’ll throw in a joke now and then, just to keep you on your toes.
As you reach each landmark, I’ll spring into action and share its story. If the audio doesn’t start, just tap “Play” and I’ll be right there. Feeling turned around? Check the handy map right in the app to see where you are or where to head next-no need to ask a passing pigeon for directions. Got questions? You’ll see a chat section below starting at every stop; ask away!
Most of Croydon welcomes you however you’re dressed, but Croydon Minster-one of our stops-does appreciate respectful clothing, just a heads-up. Otherwise, comfy shoes are your best friend because we’ll be doing plenty of walking.
A few tips as you wander: watch out for traffic (the trams are quiet until they’re right behind you!), keep your valuables close, and if you’re sampling treats at the market, keep a napkin handy-you don’t want mustard on your phone!
If you’re not outside Centrale yet, go ahead and make your way there to start the adventure. Croydon is waiting, and so am I. Ready to discover what stories these old streets can tell? Let’s go exploring!
