Today, you’ll stroll through streets bursting with stories! We’ll explore places like the enchanting College of Vicars Choral, where you can almost hear the whispers of medieval choirs, and the majestic Hereford Cathedral School, full of centuries-old secrets. We’ll also visit the Old House-its crooked timbers and tales will make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Don’t worry, though, I won’t test you on any history at the end-I’m only here to make your walk spark with curiosity and fun.
As you wander, I’ll pop on to tell you all the fascinating and funny details about each landmark as you get close. If the audio doesn’t start automatically, just tap play-it’s your tour, your pace! If your feet or phone get lost (it happens to the best of us), peep at the app’s map to find where you are.
Wondering about anything you see? Ask away in the chat! I’m always ready for questions-unless you ask me for the winning lottery numbers, then I might freeze up.
A few little tips: We’ll pass by churches and sites of religious importance, like St Francis Xavier Church, so if you’re tempted to step inside, dress with a bit of respect-remember, socks with sandals are fashionably questionable but definitely acceptable here. Also, watch your step as you explore the city: some streets are cobbled, and Hereford’s weather is famous for being… well, British. So maybe keep an umbrella handy, just in case.
If you haven’t already, make your way to our very first stop-the College of Vicars Choral-to start the adventure. History, mystery, and the occasional giggle await you! Let’s make some memories in Hereford-off we go!
