Well my friend... we have finally made it to the end of the line. Standing here by the sleek modern architecture of the art museum... it really feels like we just completed a bit of time travel. And honestly... your feet might feel like they have walked across a few centuries today too.
Just think about how far we have come. We started way back at the Palace of the Catalá de Valeriola... and from there we just kept peeling back the layers of this city. We took in the quiet courtyard of the Scala... stood in the shadows of the Generalitat... and saw a frankly staggering number of tiny lead soldiers. I am still a little blown away by the sheer patience it took to paint all of those.
We ducked through the old Arab wall at the Portal of the Valldigna... tilted our heads up at the Torres de Serranos... and lost ourselves in the beautiful, tangled maze of the Carmen neighborhood. From ancient parade rocks to towering gates... to the canvas of modern art right in front of us... Valencia really opened up for us today.
That is what I love most about the Ciutat Vella. It is not some dusty antique kept behind glass. It is a living, breathing place that just keeps building on its own history... and now... your footsteps are a small part of that ongoing story.
It has been a genuine pleasure sharing these streets and stories with you. Go find yourself a quiet cafe somewhere... grab something cold to drink... and just sit back and watch the city go by. You have absolutely earned it. Take care of yourself... and until next time... goodbye.
