Picture cobblestone streets under your feet, the lively buzz of city life in your ears, and that wonderful blend of past and present everywhere you look. We’ve got nine fantastic stops coming up, from the grand stage of the National Theatre (where every brick is practically an applause), to a tower that once kept a watchful eye over the city, to peaceful churches that whisper stories from centuries past. Don’t worry, I won’t ask you to climb the water tower-well, not unless you really want your daily workout!
As you explore, here’s how things work: when you reach the next landmark, I’ll pop in to tell you all about it. If for some reason I’m feeling a little slow (or shy!) and don’t start chatting right away, just tap that play button. Lost? No worries-the map in your app is your trusty compass. Anytime you have burning questions or want to know a quirky fact about what you’re looking at, send me a message in the chat below. I love answering questions-try to stump me, I dare you!
A few quick tips: At some stops, especially the churches and sacred halls, dress modestly out of respect-shoulders and knees covered is a good rule. As for the rest of the walk, Chișinău is a safe and welcoming city, but keep an eye on traffic and your belongings, and watch for any construction zones. Sensible shoes also make you look wise-and prevent any impromptu dance moves if you step on a loose cobblestone!
Now, if you haven’t already, head over to the first stop: the wonderful “Mihai Eminescu” National Theatre. The curtain’s just about to rise, and trust me-you have the best seat in the city.
Ready? Let’s go make some memories in Chișinău!
