We’ll be wandering along Douglas Head, soaking in salty sea air and listening to the gulls squabble over the best railings. You’ll feel the cool breeze on your cheeks, the crunch of gravel underfoot, and maybe hear the distant clang of a ship’s bell as we set out on our adventure. Our journey winds past shining lighthouses, mysterious camera obscuras, and even an open-air amphitheatre where Victorian drama once rang louder than today’s seagulls.
Here’s how it works: as you approach each stop, my voice will pop up like magic to paint the scene. If I’m feeling a little shy and don’t start talking right away, just tap the play button. Lost your bearings? Don’t worry-the map in the app will guide you better than any pirate’s compass. Got a burning question at any stop? Just drop it into the chat-I love answering!
There are no religious or particularly sensitive locations on this tour, so dress for adventure (and, well, the Manx weather-keep a jacket handy). Remember to watch your step on uneven paths, and keep an eye out for traffic when crossing roads. The sea breeze can get blustery, so hang onto your hats-or you might have to chase them toward the Irish Sea!
If you’re not already there, make your way to Douglas Head Lighthouse-the first beacon on our path. Trust me, you won’t want to miss it. Are you ready? Let’s shed some light on Douglas Head’s stories together!
