Well, here we are at the end of our walk... and what a walk it’s been. We started our journey surrounded by paintings and stories at the Musée national Jean-Jacques Henner, and wound our way through boulevards, quiet lanes, and unexpected corners of the 17th arrondissement-past parks, cozy cafes, and history hiding in plain sight.
As I stand here with you, I can’t help but feel a little nostalgic already. Paris is a city that somehow manages to hide its best secrets in broad daylight, and you, my adventurous friend, have managed to unearth a few of them today.
You’ve followed the lines of old mansions, the energy of markets, the prayers whispered in Sainte-Odile, and even the simple hum of traffic on Boulevard Pereire. Not bad for one afternoon, right?
It’s funny- you come to Paris expecting postcard scenes, but in the end it’s the small things that stick with you: the sound of your footsteps on cobblestone, the feeling of sunlight on your back, that smell of fresh bread floating out of a distant window.
So wherever your next stop is-whether it’s another corner of Paris, or just a café where you can finally rest your feet-remember you’ve seen a slice of this city that most folks never notice. Thank you for letting me walk it with you.
Until next time... au revoir, and may your Paris always have a little *something* extra waiting around the next corner.
