Welcome to Central Business District, Saskatoon!

headphones 02:01

Here’s how it works: as you mosey up to each landmark, I’ll jump in with stories, legends, and the kind of facts that stick in your mind. If the audio doesn’t start by magic, go ahead and give that Play button a tap. Lost? The app’s map will help you find your way back. And if anything makes you wonder, “Why?” or “How?” or “What was Andy thinking?”-just ask me in the chat below! I love a good question, almost as much as I love a great punchline.

On this journey, we’ll stand outside modern art masterpieces, like Remai Modern, and peek at where flames once licked sky-high at the site of the Queen’s Hotel fire. We’ll pass grand hotels, classic cathedrals, and even one spot where the past got a little… explosive. So, bring your sense of wonder!

A quick word on dress code: we’ll step near some beautiful churches and cathedrals-St. Paul’s and St. John’s among them. If you’d like to take a peek inside, please dress a tad respectfully. Otherwise, comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate gear should keep you happy as you stroll the core.

A couple of street-smart notes: Saskatoon’s Central Business District is lively and friendly, but watch those intersections, stay aware, and mind the weather, especially in winter-a snowflake here can mean business. And if you’re exploring after dark, stick to well-lit routes.

If you haven’t already, make your way to our starting point-the Remai Modern. Once you’re there, just hang tight; the journey begins outside its doors and I’ll pop up with more.

Ready for legends, laughs, and a Saskatoon-sized adventure? Let’s roll!

format_quote This was a solid way to get to know Brighton without feeling like a tourist. The narration had depth and context, but didn't overdo it.
